Washingborough Imps Netball Club

About Us

Washingborough Imps Netball Club (WINC) was formed in 2009 following the merger of two local teams, Synergy playing under the name Washingborough Imps who launched in August 2008 and Connections.
Since then, the club has grown in strength and numbers with 150+ playing members.

We welcome all ages, abilities and fitness levels and focus on building netball skills and fitness but more importantly having fun, ensuring WINC is a great place for people to thrive and enjoy their netball! We have a Junior Section for ages 8-16 with teams from U11-U16 playing in the Lincolnshire County Netball League and a Senior Section from 16 years upwards with several teams playing on a Tuesday evening at Yarborough Leisure Centre in the local Lincoln Netball League and two senior teams playing in the Lincolnshire County Netball League.

In 2013, Washingborough Playing Field Association (WPFA) secured Olympic legacy funding from Sport England’s Inspired Facilities Fund to upgrade the existing all weather multi-use games area (MUGA), enabling us to safely deliver netball across two courts, much needed space for our growing club.

In 2023 we became a trailblazing club for England Netball’s newly introduced Bee Netball programme, a fun and nurturing programme for children (aged 5-9) at the beginning of their team sport journey.

The club is currently working towards renewing its Silver Accreditation.

Coaching Team

Led by Head Coach Rachel Henderson, Washingborough Imps Netball Club, prides itself on being able to offer quality coaching.

All our coaches, (Team Pink) are fully qualified and hold England Netball (UKSCC) Level 1 or 2 coaching certificates, are regularly DBS checked and First Aid trained where required.

As part of our club development plan, we offer a variety of courses/opportunities for members to develop their skills further, including our Junior Volunteer Programme which encourages our older Juniors, at the start of their coaching/umpiring journeys to enrol with England Netball’s Pass on Your Passion (POYP) reward and recognition scheme.

Committee

Washingborough Imps Netball Club, is run by an annually elected committee, made up of members, players, and volunteers.
The committee makes decisions in the interests of its members by meeting regularly to discuss and agree items put forward. The roles are divided up, to encourage more members onto the committee and to share out the tasks to ensure the smooth running of the club.

An Annual General Meeting (AGM) takes place each June/July for the Committee to formally feed back to the club, it’s progress, performance and decisions made on the running of the club, and more importantly to elect or re-elect the committee members for the following year.

To raise a point for discussion, apply for a position, or make a request, please contact the committee,
